Last week, the West Shore RCMP published a media release seeking public assistance in identifying a jewelry thief.
The theft took place on Dec. 9 at West Shore Gold and Silver store located at 730 Goldstream Ave. in Langford. A male suspect tried on several necklaces and fled the store without paying for the jewelry, which was worth approximately $20,000.
The West Shore RCMP Crime Reduction Unit led the investigation and a media release was published on Dec. 12, with a suspectB次元官网网址檚 photo and description.
On Dec. 18, a suspect turned himself into police. The suspect who is identified as a 23-year-old man has been arrested for theft over $5,000. The investigation is ongoing and police have also recovered some of the stolen jewelry.
The suspect has been released on an undertaking and is set to appear in court in the new year.
