Structure fire closes stretch of Saanich's McKenzie Avenue

The Saanich Police Department is asking people to avoid the area

Emergency crews have shut down the 1000 block of McKenzie Ave. as the Saanich Fire Department addresses a nearby residential building fire.

Currently, roadblocks are in place at the intersection of Quadra Street and McKenzie Avenue, and Saanich Road and McKenzie Avenue. 

The Saanich Police Department is asking people to avoid the area.

Expect traffic delays.
