New information hoped to jumpstart West Shore RCMP investigation

An early-morning break-and-enter occurred in the early hours of Nov. 8

West Shore RCMP is hoping new information will provide a boost to its investigation of a break-and-enter using a stolen pickup truck earlier this month.

Around 1:45 a.m. on Nov. 8, a stolen, dark-coloured, 2001-model Dodge 2500 pickup stopped outside of a business compound at 1492 Admirals Rd. in View Royal. An individual exited the vehicle, which West Shore RCMP say has a red roof and lighter-coloured truck box, and walked toward the compound. Soon after, the stolen vehicle B´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·“ a white, four-door, 2014-model Dodge 3500 pickup B´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·“ drove away from the compound, followed by the older Dodge.

West Shore RCMP is asking residents to keep an eye out for the stolen trucks. The white Dodge has stolen B.C. licence plate PL3776. Previously, the vehicle sported "RKM Crane Services" decals on its driver and passenger doors, which have been removed. A horizontal yellow stripe now marks the driverB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s side panel.

Police are also asking those with dash cameras who were in the area between 1:30 and 2:30 a.m. to call 250-474-2264. Anonymous reports can be made via Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
