Kate Harding got an abrupt surprise as she was closing up her store Showcase Awards & Recognition in Wednesday (May 22) evening.

At about 5:10 p.m. a car had plowed right into the storeB次元官网网址檚 front window.

The car had thankfully been stopped by a bar on the storeB次元官网网址檚 industrial windows.

B次元官网网址淭hat stopped it from continuing on its path, which would have been really bad,B次元官网网址� she added.

Police were called to the scene immediately, and Harding said the driver left in a police vehicle.

A spokesperson for the Victoria Police Department said the driver was issued a 24-hour driving prohibition and the car was towed away.

Workers from The City of Victoria arrived soon after to help board up the window and secure the shop.
