Those looking to help advance the Greater Victoria visitor economy can now have an opportunity to do so as nominations open to serve on the Destination Greater Victoria board of directors in 2025.
According to a news release, the board links members, government partners and key community partner organizations to Destination Greater Victoria's strategy and performance.
"Being a director involves significant responsibility and time commitment, and directors are expected to participate collaboratively in meetings and events while working to advance tourism in Greater Victoria," noted the release.
A nomination package listing the board positions up for election and outlining the board election process is now available. Completed forms and other materials required for nominations must be received by Destination Greater Victoria no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11.
Destination Greater Victoria supports community events, community-oriented organizations and aims to maintain positive community relations to help the organization build stronger relationships with local residents, businesses and organizations.
