In what is believed to be a first for the Capital Region, a Langford development is using an innovative building material that reduces construction time and makes homes safer.

By using light-gauge steel (LGS), also known as cold-formed steel and cold-rolled steel, buildings are resistant to fire, pests and moisture, ensuring longevity and safety.

The LGS also arrives on site prefabricated and ready for installation, enabling rapid construction, accelerating project timelines and minimizing both labour costs and disruption to the neighbourhood.

The material is also recyclable, requires less energy for production compared to traditional building materials like concrete or wood, helping LGS construction to align with sustainability goals.
