Langford will host eight junior choirs as part of the Greater Victoria Performing Art Festival on April 17 at Gordon United Church.

B次元官网网址淓ach choir comes in and presents two or three pieces depending on how long they have,B次元官网网址� said Kristina Stevens, choral section head for the Greater Victoria Performing Art Festival.

According to Stevens, the younger kids have 20 minutes, and the older kids have 30 to 40 minutes.

Sarona Mynhardt, the artistic director of Inspiroto Voice on the Sunshine Coast, will adjudicate the different choirs.

Ruth King Elementary School, Willway Elementary School, and Belmont High School will be present, alongside Claremont High School, St Andrews, Langley Fine Arts School, Shoreline Middle School and the Mount Doug choir.

The event will start at 9 a.m., with the Ruth King Concert Choir and Willway Elementary Choir performing first.

The Greater Victoria Performing Art Festival has 22 sections to watch, including musical theatre, ethnic dance, studio dance and many more.

B次元官网网址淚tB次元官网网址檚 quite a varied organization and itB次元官网网址檚 been going for decades,B次元官网网址� said Stevens.

According to Stevens, the festival has been around for 90 years. It was a way to help kids improve their musical education and recognize those who practiced hard.
