Oak Bay police are part of a unit fetching criminals across the region.
In 2021 Saanich and Victoria police departments joined forces to create the Integrated Canine Service which included six handlers and eight dogs based out of VicPDB次元官网网址檚 Esquimalt station.
Adding Oak Bay strengthens an already successful partnership between Saanich and Victoria police departments, said Inspector Damian Kowalewich, the Saanich officer in charge of the canine service.

ICS is a specialized police dog unit that operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, offering tracking and apprehension, evidence searches and other critical services to police operations.
