The final mass was celebrated on Sept. 17.
Documents from the past show the inaugural service took place in December 1955 B次元官网网址� just one year prior to the founding of Gordon United Church, which currently holds the distinction of being the oldest house of worship in the city.
The church has long been a beloved sight for many locals and tourists. Their new location, situated on Irwin Road, wonB次元官网网址檛 be ready to accommodate them in time.
In the interim, members of this group will find solace and a temporary home at the Chapel of Our Lady Star of the Sea, a church nestled within the federal Department of Defence property in Colwood.
