The Capital Regional District is working towards implementing a Regional Water Supply Development Cost Charge program. The program will help fund eligible growth-related drinking water projects throughout Greater Victoria.

The district is looking for public feedback on a backgrounder report which summarizes the program following initial public engagement in June, which consisted of two virtual information sessions and an online survey.

"The Regional Water Supply Commission will review comments received through the online comment form to determine the level of support for the program as well as identify factors to consider related to program design and implementation," noted a news release from the CRD. "The CRD Board will make the final decision regarding this program after considering recommendations from the Regional Water Supply Commission later this year."
