Lagoon Bridge on Ocean Boulevard in Colwood will be closed for maintenance and repairs on Monday Oct. 21 and Wednesday Oct. 23.
The bridge will be closed to to vehicles and pedestrians between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Along with regular annual bridge maintenance and inspection, every five years the structure of the bridge is inspected by an engineer. These works were recommended in the latest five-year review of the bridge and will include pile and stringer replacements, requiring the temporary closure of the bridge.
"You may see some activity already taking place on and around the bridge," said the City of Colwood in a news release.
