Colwood's food truck and music festival Eats and Beats is back at The Beachlands this year with a full day of music and activities on Saturday, July 27.
The slate of bands includes the Soul Shakers, Silvertone, The Temps, Heist and Sugar the Band. There will also be a Beat Dance Studio and dance lessons between bands.
The Soul Shakers are bulled as "one of the best dance bands on Vancouver Island," led by "powerhouse" singer Joyce "The Voice" Allensen.
Silvertone is a power trio from Royal Bay High with echoes of Led Zeppelin, Cream and the Who.
The Temps play a mix of modern and classic rock favourites. Heist delivers classic tunes as well, and models itself as a Tragically Hip tribute band. And finally, Sugar the Band is a throwback soul band with "life altering" sax solos.
The lineup of food trucks is to include a variety of ethnic offerings such as Greek, Mexican, Venezuelan, Middle Eastern, French and Filipino foods, as well as ice cream and other treats. And beverages will be served by the Victoria Beer Society.
Other activities include a beach games, henna tattoos and a bungee run inflatable.
