A new agreement means engineering transfer students at Camosun College will have the opportunity to transfer to schools other than the University of Victoria.

Until recently, to pursue a bachelor of engineering, Camosun students were only able to transfer to UVic. Recently, however, all six receiving universities and 14 sending institutions in B.C. signed the B.C. Common First Year Engineering Curriculum agreement, which gives students across the province more choice about where they can study.

The agreement, which won't be applicable until September 2025, means Camosun students with dreams of one day being an engineer will be able to go to Simon Fraser University, Thompson River University, the University of British Columbia and the University of Northern British Columbia.
