Butchart Gardens' annual Magic of Christmas displays will turn the 120-year-old, 55-acre property into a magic world of twinkling lights and festive greenery.
"Experience the twelve days of Christmas as you stroll through the colourful holiday displays, and enjoy free carousel rides for the entire evening," Butchart said in a news release. "There is no shortage of holiday cheer and seasonal sounds with live performances from traditional carollers and festive brass."
Set to run from Dec. 1 until Jan. 6, 2025 the event begins with a light up at 5 p.m. on opening night, which staff have been busily preparing for months. With the flick of a switch, thousands of string lights and bulbs will illuminate the garden and dark sky.
Holiday high tea and a festive dinner will be served every day from 2:45 to 3:30 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m., respectively.
Children 12 and under are invited to make paper snowflakes at home and bring them to Butchart's coffee shop, open from 3 to 10 p.m. every day, where they can exchange their crafts for hot chocolate.
The gardens will be closed on Christmas Day.
