The City of Langford is all ears to residentsB次元官网网址� thoughts on the future of the city.
To encourage residents to contribute their ideas and suggestions around a number of community planning initiatives and current master plans under development, the city is hosting an ideas fair.
Participants will be able to have their say on the Transportation Master Plan and Active Transportation Plans, which will be the first official guide for long-term planning and development of the cityB次元官网网址檚 transportation network.
Up for discussion as well is the Parks and Trails Master Plan, which will guide future decisions on acquiring, developing, enhancing and managing city parks and trails for the next 10 years or more.
City planning staff and consultants will be on hand to answer any questions.
The ideas fair will also include an opportunity to give feedback to the West Shore Parks and Recreation Society about their Facilities Master Plan, which aims to offer guidance on the types of facilities in demand and how these needs can be met.
The ideas fair will be held on Saturday, March 15 at the Langford Legion, 761 Station Ave., from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Light refreshments and activities for children will be available.
In addition to the ideas fair, residents can provide feedback about the Transportation Master Plan, Active Transportation Plan and the Parks and Trails Master Plan through two online surveys, available from March 12 on the city's Let's Chat Langford website: .
