On Remembrance Day, Monday, Nov. 11, all veterans get to ride for free in B.C.B次元官网网址檚 three major transportation services B次元官网网址� BC Ferries, BC Transit and Translink. 

Customers travelling with BC Ferries will get complimentary fares after presenting official Canadian military identification or travelling in uniform. These free fares will not be offered on the Inside Passage, Haida Gwaii and Central Coast Connector routes. 

Seniors can also travel free when they present their B.C. services card, driverB次元官网网址檚 license, identification card or birth certificate. 

BC Transit says all scheduled routes and handyDART services in the Victoria Regional Transit System will be free for all riders in uniform, active, retired and cadets, as well as those with Army, Navy or Air Force Association cards. Buses will also be running on a regular Sunday schedule. 

TransLink is offering free transit on all services, including HandyDART, to veterans, active members of the Canadian Armed Forces, police and fire personnel, Canadian Coast Guard members, officers from the Department of Fisheries and Oceans and BC Ambulance Service personnel. 

Veterans travelling should present their badge, military ID, veteranB次元官网网址檚 service card, or appear in uniform to receive free transit.  

On Remembrance Day, BC Ferries will observe two minutes of silence at 11 a.m. on the ships and terminals. All Canadian flags on BC FerriesB次元官网网址� vessels and terminals will fly at half-mast to honour the sacrifices made by veterans in the line of duty. 

BC Transit and TransLink are also encouraging customers and staff to observe the traditional moment of silence at or near 11 a.m. All buses will display B次元官网网址淟est We ForgetB次元官网网址� on the destination screen as will the scala screens of the ferries and terminals on Nov. 11.
