The 848 Royal Roads Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron announced its return to Royal Roads University after years of periodically changing locations around the Langford area.
Established in 1976, the squadron first paraded out of the university campus, however for many years, the squadron did not have the opportunity to parade from the university and was moving around the city of Langford from one location to another according to a news release.
B次元官网网址淭his new-to-us, top-notch facility at Royal Roads University will not only accommodate our growing numbers but also enable us to engage with the youth in our community in a more sustainable and meaningful manner,B次元官网网址 said the squadron's commanding officer Capt. Elaine Chiang in a news release.
They said the move has been met with "overwhelming" support from the local community, including past squadron members and parents, who have "taken to social media to express their excitement and encouragement."
