A fundraising event to support Wounded Warrior Run BC is taking place on Saturday (Jan. 25) at the Saanich Fairgrounds.
Cpl. Pat Bryant of the Central Saanich Police is hosting a night of music and food in support of local first responders, veterans and their families who have experienced trauma.
"We are proud to have Cpl. Bryant representing Central Saanich on this incredible challenge for a great cause," said Chief Const. Ian Lawson. "In the 20 years Pat has been with Central Saanich, he has participated in more fundraising efforts than anyone could recall, including representing Central Saanich Police Service on the Tour de Rock in 2022. We are grateful for his dedication to these opportunities."
The fundraiser will feature live music by Luke Lampard and Doctor Bones Project and pizza by Peninsula Pizza.

Wounder Warrior Run BC kicks off with a from Sooke to Sidney on Feb. 2 and over the course of eight days on Vancouver Island, eight runners will complete 800 kilometers from Feb. 23 to March 2.
