Greater Victoria to light up for World ParkinsonBԪַs Day

Locations across Greater Victoria will light up in honour of World ParkinsonBԪַs Day Spark the Night event on April 11.

BԪַWe believe that by coming together as a global community, we can spark meaningful change in living well with ParkinsonBԪַs disease,BԪַ Bailey Martin, executive director of Parkinson Wellness Projects, said in a news release.

Buildings across the Capital Region will be bathed in blue light and will represent 10 million people worldwide diagnosed with ParkinsonBԪַs disease.

BԪַWe aim to raise awareness, inspire hope, and continue to provide evidence-based programs and services to manage this debilitating condition,BԪַ said Martin

Various buildings including municipal halls in Victoria, Saanich, View Royal, Colwood, Oak Bay and Esquimalt, along with the B.C.BԪַs legislative building and Strathcona Hotel will help raise awareness.
