In regards to Fairy Creek, where else in the world do you see trees as old as 2,000 years and 20 storeys tall? Trees older than Notre-Dame in Paris, older than Machu Picchu in Peru and older than Tiananmen Square in China. Some of the worldB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s largest Douglas firs, Sitka spruces and ancient cedars.

With SaanichB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s approval of the condominium development on the edge of Elk/Beaver Lake Regional Park, Saanich council, in keeping with its stand on climate change, must now require the developer to plant at the very least three times the 55 mature trees [165 trees] that will be cut down to make room for the development.

I have been given an opportunity to respond and did. I read what resulted and I am satisfied. More input would clog up progress and overwhelm what is intended .
