Downtown businesses look to brighten up winter with the annual Lights of Wonder.
Lights of Wonder draws tens of thousands of people downtown during the holiday season every year. The free, accessible, pet- and family-friendly event encourages locals and visitors alike to visit downtown and provides phenomenal business support.

Downtown Victoria Business Association (DVBA) kicks off its annual event Saturday (Nov. 30) at 4 p.m., aligned with the popular Santa Claus parade.
This year features various local entertainers on stage, free photo booths, tasty treats and the opportunity to support local charities. On Dec. 7, starting at 5 p.m., BC Lottery Corporation offers hot chocolate while supplies last, with all proceeds going to Victoria Hospitals Foundation.
The Canadian Tire photo booth runs Nov. 30 and Dec. 6, 13, 20, and 27.
London Drugs offers a 360-degree camera on-site for free photos on December 7, 14, 21, 28 and 31.
For the first time since 2016, the DVBA is bringing a ferris wheel to Centennial Square from Dec. 20 to 31, available to ride nightly from 4 p.m., weather permitting.
Free horse-drawn trolley rides around downtown run from 5 to 7 p.m. on December 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21.
Pride Night under the Lights, a New Year's celebration with two countdowns, and more are planned.
