Final vote count confirms new MLA in tight Courtenay-Comox election race

Final vote count from the provincial election ended yesterday

BC Conservative Courtenay-Comox candidate Brennan Day.

With the final vote tally complete yesterday (Oct. 28), the Courtenay-Comox riding has its new MLA elected - the B.C. Conservative PartyB次元官网网址檚 Brennan Day.

Day beat incumbent, former NDP MLA Ronna-Rae Leonard by 92 votes. 

"Every vote has now been counted, and we know the results. Congratulations to my opponent, Brennan Day, on his victory. Thank you to my campaign team, who worked tirelessly every day of the election,B次元官网网址 said Leonard in a release.

Day received 13,481 votes, while Leonard received 13,389.
