Choral Evolution is putting the finishing touches and fine tuning to Cool Nights, Warm Hearts, a Christmas concert geared to fill the audiences with a holiday glow.

"Our hearts are full as we get closer to our upcoming concerts," said Choral Evolution communications director Joscelyn Gagnon. "The anticipation is building, and so is the excitement. We've been working under the direction of our new artistic director, Andre Cloutier, to bring you a magical experience that will light up your winter days. Our choir members have poured their passion and talent into each rehearsal, and we can't wait to share the beautiful harmonies with you."

The concert will provide a great opportunity to escape the winter chill with Choral Evolution's timeless choral pieces and folk songs, including a rich selection of Canadian works that will conjure up images of fireside warmth on Vancouver Island, Gagnon noted.

Cool Nights, Warm Hearts takes place in Sooke on Friday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 7 at 2 p.m. at Holy Trinity Church at 1962 Murray Rd. There's also a performance scheduled in Colwood on Sunday, Dec. 8 at the Juan de Fuca 55 + Centre at 1767 Island Hwy.

Tickets cost $25 and can be purchased at https://www.eventbrite.ca or by cash only at the door.

Choral Evolution will also be leading a Christmas Carol Singalong on Saturday, Dec. 21 at 7 p.m. at Edward Milne Community School at 6218 Sooke Rd., with all proceeds going to the Sooke Food Bank.

"It was such a success last year that we've moved to a larger venue," Gagnon said.
