1. Feb. 22

Canada faces Chile in Westhills Stadium in Langford.

2. Feb.19-24 at Coast Collective Gallery, Colwood.

The expo is free to attend and features more than 150 vendors, including contractors, roofers, landscapers and more.

Greater Victoria residents can purchase a VIP pass for $15 at any Save-On-Foods location, the Victoria Visitor Centre or the Bay Centre, which allows them to access 50 attractions either for free or at a discounted rate.

5.Feb. 22 and 23 at Oak Bay High schoolBԪַs Dave Dunnet Theatre

Almost 100 Oak Bay High students have come together to create this musical theatre production. Tickets are $10 for students and seniors, and $12 for adults. They can be purchased from the school office, IvyBԪַs Bookstore (2188 Oak Bay Ave.), or

Promising to be one of the highlights of this seasonBԪַs local musical offerings, featuring slide guitar and dobro playing of Vancouver Island Music Festival founder and musical director, Doug Cox, alongside his old band mates, guitarist Ken Hall and bassist Rick May. Tickets are $20 at The Oaks (2250 Oak Bay Ave. cash only), and the 7 p.m. show is likely to sell out the intimate, 100-seat venue.

7. Feb. 23 at Victoria Event Centre

Victoria-Taiama Partnership fundraiser show by Issamba ensemble as part of a campaign to raise funds for equipment, supplies and the hiring of midwives for the Judy Smith Health Centre and Maternal Health Clinic. Tickets are $30 in advance and $40 at the door if available. Admission to the after show is $10. Visit to purchase online.

Learn more fun facts about the hundreds of thousands of Lego pieces that make up the museumBԪַs displays, guess how many bricks it took to build the Lego pyramid or catch the special presentation film on the origin and continuing evolution of the Lego building system. The Sidney Museum is open daily from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

9. a play byTheatre SKAM and Charles Tidlar

Director Pamela Bethel guides nine professional actors in the Tidler play, which unveils 77 BԪַfound micro dramasBԪַ culled from streets, squares and markets of the city. 7eventy 7even runs from Feb. 12-24. 10. exhibit at the Royal B.C. Museum

The exhibition, on loan from the Natural History Museum in London, England, opens to the public on Friday (Feb. 15) and runs through March 24. Tickets are included in general admission to the museum. To purchase online visit or buy them at the ticket counter.
