Victoria artists and music lovers will converge atop Browns Mountain in Port Renfrew starting tomorrow (June 21), for the third installment of the Tall Tree Music Festival.

What began as a boutique festival of 200 attendees and 33 acts in 2010, attracted 630 festival goers last year and supported the Ancient Forest AllianceB次元官网网址檚 successful bid to protect Avatar Grove.

This weekend (June 21 to 23) 67 mostly Victoria-based acts B次元官网网址� including Kyprios, Mark Farina, Sweatshop Union, The Pack AD, Mat the Alien, Georgia Murray, Longwalkshortdock, Vince Vaccaro, Kuba Oms, Quoia, Neon Steve and Steph Macpherson B次元官网网址� will perform on picturesque mountain stages, while campers will set up next to installations by Wolf/Sheep Arthouse. Proceeds from the not-for-profit event once again support local charitable organizations. Organizers Radio Contact Productions hope to build on last yearB次元官网网址檚 progress by funding the construction of a walkway through the now-safeguarded grove with 2012 proceeds.

Despite its popularity, Tall Tree isnB次元官网网址檛 in danger of losing its charm, Roma said. Ticket sales are fast approaching the 1,500-person limit, established to ensure the positive, respectful and sustainable nature of the event continues.
