Stones tribute band ready to roll into Sooke

Get Stones! coming to Sooke Community Theatre in Edward Milne Community School Oct. 12

Get Your Ya-Ya's Out!

Loyal fans that remember that seminal live 1970 concert album by the Rolling Stones may jump like Jack Flash at the chance to get a look at Got Stones! when they play for the first time in Sooke.

"We do a selection of The Rolling Stones most loved songs, including tunes such as It's All Over Now, I Can't Get No Satisfaction, and Paint it Black and later offerings such as Sympathy For The Devil and You Can't Always Get What You Want, right through to Angry, their latest release," said Glen Santics, Get Stones! drummer.

Other band members feature vocalist Lloyd Serson, Shawn Wilm and David Beattie on guitar, and Cam Stiles on Bass.

Although the band has been together for a little more than a year, all of the seasoned members have been playing together in different incarnations and on different projects since the 1970s, Santics said. Joining the band for this concert is Jo-anne Heans, who will providing the haunting female vocals on Gimme Shelter.

The concert takes place Saturday, Oct. 12 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Sooke Community Theatre in Edward Milne Community School at 6218 Sooke Rd. Tickets are available through Eventbrite and at the door for $30.
