The Highlands Music Coffee House is returning July 15 with headlining performers Southbound and Friends.

Southbound and Friends vocalist Sherry Leigh Williams comes from a long line of creatives, with her Irish mother singing to her as a child, and her Metis grandfather a fiddler and singer.

Wilf Davies, a long-time band teacher on the Gulf Islands, formed the band with Williams several years ago, which is known for their lively play style blending together just about every genre, spanning jazz, B´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·˜50s and B´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·˜60s, country, and war-era tunes.

Davies and Williams are joined on stage by Keith Bjorndohl, Shannon Lee Rae, Dave Conway and Mike Sampson.

The evening has no set opening act, and instead will feature an open stage.

Admission is by donation, with $10 or more suggested for those over 15 years old, and doors open at the Caleb Pike House at 6:30 p.m., with music starting at 7.
