DiGiovanni, who spent most of her life in Toronto but for the last five year has been living in Los Angeles, said her material comes from a personal place, and B次元官网网址渨hateverB次元官网网址檚 happening in my life is going to be happening on stage.B次元官网网址�
B次元官网网址淚 know that a lot of comics, they kind of keep it about their life, about their families and whatever and I do the same thing except I donB次元官网网址檛 have a family so itB次元官网网址檚 all really selfish, to be honest,B次元官网网址� Giovanni said. B次元官网网址淚tB次元官网网址檚 all about me.B次元官网网址�
She said her act draws on the feeling of being the odd one out, watching her contemporaries become domesticated while sheB次元官网网址檚 B次元官网网址渟truggling along in a world where people are at this point mature and settled and IB次元官网网址檓 not.B次元官网网址�
B次元官网网址淎t this age most of my friends are married with children and I still live a very kind of college lifestyle, if you will,B次元官网网址� she said. B次元官网网址淟ike I never really know where IB次元官网网址檓 going to be and I work at night, so IB次元官网网址檓 just not on the same page.B次元官网网址�
This winter, and again in the spring, DiGiovanni will be joining fellow Canadian comics Paul Myrehaug, Dan Quinn and Pete Zedlacher on their nationwide Snowed In Comedy Tour, which features nearly 30 dates across nearly every region of BC in January and February.
This is DiGiovanniB次元官网网址檚 second time on the tour, after being asked on short notice to fill in for a comedian who had to drop out last year.
B次元官网网址淭hey called me on a Wednesday and I joined them on a Friday,B次元官网网址� she said. B次元官网网址淭hey were just like, B次元官网网址楥an you drop everything and come do the tour for a month?B次元官网网址� So last year it was a fluke but then we had so much fun that they are kind enough to bring me back this year.B次元官网网址�
She said the four of them fit together well. She said Quinn discusses life as a newlywed, Myrehaug talks about living as a Canadian ex-pat in Europe and storyteller Zedlacher closes the show.
B次元官网网址淪ometimes comics are too different on the bill B次元官网网址� Like the people are really dirty and then really deadpan or something,B次元官网网址� DiGiovanni said. B次元官网网址淭hereB次元官网网址檚 got to be a flow to the show. So we have good flow for sure.B次元官网网址�
The tour plays Terrace, Smithers, Prince George and Quesnel this week, followed by dates in Port Alberni, Campbell River, Courtenay, Nanaimo and Victoria next week, before crisscrossing back to the Okanagan and the Kootenays, with dates in Salmon Arm, Kamloops, Penticton, Kelowna, Cranbrook, Trail, Vernon, Revelstoke, Golden and Nelson.
