Family fun skate to benefit Help Fill A Dream

Local old-timer hockey team the Blackhawks is hosting a public family skate at Pearkes, Thursday night 7 p.m. (Dec. 21). Black Press file photo

The Local Blackhawks old-timer hockey team are throwing their Annual Friends and Family Christmas Skate at Pearkes Arena (green rink) on Thursday.

The team has a history of philanthropy, holding past , the Saanich teen who died of cancer in June of 2016.

Donations from this yearB次元官网网址檚 skate will go to the Help Fill a Dream Foundation.

B次元官网网址淥ur events are tonnes of fun with a focus on raising funds for the Help Fill a Dream Foundation,B次元官网网址� said Ted Balderson, team captain.

Admission is by donation, skate rentals are free and there will be hot chocolate and other goodies available.

The skate runs Thursday, Dec. 21 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Pearkes.
