The annual EmbroiderersB次元官网网址� Association of Canada stitching seminar will be hosted by four Vancouver Island Chapters, The Arrowsmith Needle Arts Guild, the Island Stitchery Guild, the Cowichan Valley Needle Arts Guild and the EmbroiderersB次元官网网址� Guild of Victoria.
The theme of this yearB次元官网网址檚 seminar, on from May 15 to 23 at the University of Victoria is Island Images.
The public is also welcome to attend a lecture on Inspiring Work Spaces by Susan Purney Mark, a quilter passionate about fabric, thread, texture and imagery on Friday, May 18 at 8 p.m. in the David Strong Building at University of Victoria, the Matthew Lecture Hall, admission is $2.
The EmbroiderersB次元官网网址� Association of Canada was founded in 1973 in Winnipeg Man. by Leonida Leatherdale, who felt that there was a need to bring people, interested in the art of embroidery together. There are currently 2,000 members of the association across the country.
