Casket Girls, a horror movie directed by Justin G. Dyck, has started filming in Downtown Victoria

A horror movie based on 18th century New Orleans has begun filming in various locations in downtown Victoria.

According to IMDB, Casket Girls, directed by Justin G. Dyck and starring Gabrielle Union and Philip Granger, is based on French women who were sent to New Orleans in the 1700s to become brides, and upon their arrival, they were accused of being vampires and demons, leading to their imprisonment in a convent's attic.

A portion of Broughton Street will be closed from Nov. 4 to late night on Nov. 5 while a film crew shoots scenes for the movie at the Downtown YMCA-YWCA in the 800-block of Broughton Street.
