A local farm has welcomed hundreds of new furry friends in recent weeks.
Ewe at the Parry Bay Sheep Farm have given birth to more than 400 lambs since the season started on Feb. 1.
Several ewe have given birth to twins, triplets, quadruplets and one has even given birth to quintuplets. Many of the smaller lambs are being bottle-fed in the farmB次元官网网址檚 barn until they are weaned off it and can be put out to pasture with their mothers.
Owners John and Lorraine Buchanan expect to have a total of 650 lambs born by the end of the season. In April, the lambs will be transported to pastures in Metchosin, the Highlands and Cordova Bay.
