A B次元官网网址淐ampus of CareB次元官网网址� could be coming to Christie Point on the View Royal peninsula, after developers pitch the idea to View Royal council. Boardwalk Rental Communities, which bought the site in February of 2005, is looking at demolishing 119 apartments and 13 townhouses and replacing it with a 186-unit complex care facility, 55 units of assisted living and a 10,000 square-foot medical office building.

Langford Fire Rescue fire inspector Lance Caven spends a good chunk of one morning sifting through ash and charcoal in a burned-out Langford attic. He is looking for the cause of a fire that caused approximately $100,000 in damage. The power had gone out and the residents of a Dunford Avenue home called the fire department after smelling smoke. The contents of the home were uninsured.

A woman who said coughing fits caused her to drive erratically is fined $1,000 for driving without due care and attention. Police stopped Merle Diane McCracken by the Thetis Lake campground after her car was observed crossing the yellow line, moving erratically and braking repeatedly for no apparent reason, said Crown council Duncan Campbell. A father pleads guilty of assault for punching his 12-year-old son in the face. The boy, who suffers from ADD, had become angry and run to his room when his parents stopped a rented video they felt was inappropriate for him to watch. The father followed, and court heard that the boy told his father to B次元官网网址済et the (expletive) away,B次元官网网址� Crown council Duncan Campbell said. The youth started hitting his father, who punched him before the mother intervened. The incident was not reported until a teacher noticed a bruise on the boyB次元官网网址檚 face and called police.

Three Girl Guides looking for litter instead have an experience they describe as B次元官网网址渁wesome.B次元官网网址� Tracey Watson, Diane Jennings and Nicky Wallen were picking up litter along Millstream Road when they stumble across stolen loot from a nearby house break-in. The three Esquimalt guides had overnighted in the backyard of a Highlands resident to qualify for their camping badge before embarking to pick up debris. They find a carved chest of stolen wallets, passports and credit cards and are driven with it to the RCMP detachment. The owner gives each of the three girls $3 and they qualify for their camping badges.

While many in B.C. welcome the world during Expo 86, one Western Communities resident isnB次元官网网址檛 quite as excited. A truck repeatedly drives into the Metchosin sign on Happy Valley Road that features a large Expo insignia. The sign is re-erected several times, prompting Ald. Ted Stevens to note, B次元官网网址渢hereB次元官网网址檚 $20 worth of good plywood there.B次元官网网址� Clerk-treasurer Gary Williams later jokes: B次元官网网址淥ne solution to the problem is land mines.B次元官网网址�

And, police figure thieves used a pair of stolen trucks to cart away building materials from CubbonB次元官网网址檚 Home Centre on Nob Hill Road. Overnight a gateB次元官网网址檚 chain was cut and a building broken into to obtain keys for the companyB次元官网网址檚 1981 GMC pickup, said Colwood RCMP Sgt. Jim Peters. That truck, along with a stolen Budget rental truck, were likely used to transport 60 missing pieces of half-inch plywood sheeting, 15 pieces of particle board and a cassette player. Both trucks were found abandoned and contained evidence of lumber inside.
