Jan. 4 to 29: Historic photographs of Metchosin are up for your viewing pleasure at the Metchosin Community House's Art on the Walls exhibit for the month of January. The exhibit is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday at 4430 Happy Valley Rd.

Jan. 15: Dr. Jane Watson makes her way to the Metchosin council chambers for a public presentation on sea otters next Friday starting at 7 p.m.

Jan. 29: Cinephiles and others interested in environmentalism are encouraged to make their way to Metchosin Community House for a Film Night with two shorts from the Raincoast Conservancy. ****Directly Affected follows the reactions of those directly affected by the proposed Kinder Morgan Trans Mountain Pipeline, and ****Reflections presents a trip by 50 well-known artists to the route of the proposed Northern Gateway tar sands pipeline. Misty McDuffy of Raincoast presents the evening and will help lead discussions.
