Songs of peace, Art on the Walls and a Pearson College concert are among community events in Metchosin

Tuesday, Dec. 1

The first day of the final month of the year is the last day to preorder your made-in-Metchosin mince pies. The frozen, unbaked pies are $12 for eight-inch size and $15 for nine-inch. They can be picked up on Thursday, Dec. 3 at the Metchosin Community House, 4430 Happy Valley Rd. To order, call 250-478-5155.

Friday, Dec. 4

Metchosin Community House welcomes Thomas P. RadcliffeBԪַs BԪַSongs of Peace and LoveBԪַ for Music Night from 7 to 9 p.m. Suggested donations for the concert are $7.

Sunday, Dec. 6

Doug Gilbert and Friends kick off their BԪַArt on the WallsBԪַ show with an event from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Metchosin Community House.

Ten artists will show off their work, including Donna Robertson, Lloyd Houghton, Mary Wulff, Merrilee Soberg, Richard James, Tom Gore and more.

Also on Sunday, Dec. 6, Pearson College opens its doors to present a choir of international students, delighting audiences with songs of the season. A dessert raffle could land a lucky winner a sweet surprise, and all proceeds from the admission-by-donation concert go to Metchosin Community House.

The concert gets underway at 7 p.m. at the Metchosin Community Hall, 4401 William Head Rd.
