Spring is in the air and the Capital Regional DistrictB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s parks department is encouraging residents to get outside and enjoy it. CRD Parks has a number of organized hikes planned for the next month aimed at people of all ages and skill levels.
Mill Hill Regional Park
There will be two opportunities for those 18 and up to explore Mill Hill Regional Park in Langford on April 10. The first will go from 10 a.m. until noon. The second is from 1 to 3 p.m.
On this hike, participants will learn the identities of the beautiful blooms they pass and hear interesting plant lore.
Space is limited on these two hikes, so interested hikers are asked to pre-register by phoning 250-478-3344 by April 7.
Thetis Lake Regional Park
On April 17, from 10:30 a.m. until noon, a group will explore the trails on Seymour Hill in View Royal. This springtime adventure will reward participants with a fantastic view of Thetis Lake from the hilltop.
Participants are reminded to bring water and wear appropriate hiking shoes. Meet in the main Thetis Lake parking lot for this free hike.
