Swing by Staples, grab a burger and a beverage and help a family struggling with the cost of back to school supplies.
Staples WestShore and the Sooke Lions Club are teaming up for an annual fundraiser, with all proceeds donated to Parents Advisory Councils in the Sooke School District to help families facing difficulty with the cost of school supplies this fall.
The event takes place Wednesday, Aug. 23 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Staples WestShore, 789 McCallum Rd.
Last yearB次元官网网址檚 barbecue raised $8,000 as part of Staples Stuff the Locker program. ItB次元官网网址檚 another example of how Staples assists families facing financial difficulties arising from the costs associated with preparing their children for school, said Gerry Denis, manager of Staples WestShore.

You can purchase a freshly barbecued burger, chips and pop for $5, or two hot dogs, chips and a beverage for $6.
ThereB次元官网网址檚 also raffle tickets available for a chance to win a Bose speaker set and a Beats Audio headset, each valued at more than $250.
The draw will take place Sept. 5 at 8:30 a.m., with all proceeds supporting local PACs as well.
