The B.C. SPCA Wild Animal Rehabilitation Centre (Wild ARC) is having an open house to give people a behind-the-scenes tour of their wildlife rehabilitation centre.

The open house takes place Saturday, March 24 and Sunday, March 25 from noon to 4 p.m. each day. There are free one-hour tours during the four-hour open house and reservations for the tour are required. The tour will showcase how Wild ARC cares for more than 3,000 injured and orphaned wild animals in the community each year.

There is no charge for the tour, but people can make in-kind donations of food or supplies to help the animals. A supplies wish list is available at .

The tour is outside, so people should dress accordingly with appropriate footwear and attire for walking in the elements. Wild ARC can also arrange modified tours (inside-only) for those with mobility challenges.

To avoid potential stress to the wild animal patients, they will not be available for viewing, but Wild ARC will be hosting live educational raptors during the weekend. Please leave personal pets at home.

To reserve a free tour time visit . For questions about the event email openhouse@wildarc.com.
