Music lovers can double down this weekend at Oak Bay Recreation Centre.
Popular and in-demand band The Soul Shakers bring hallmark stellar harmonies and high energy to the Sports View Lounge on Friday.
Known to get audiences singing and dancing along to classic popular soul, Motown and R&B tunes, The Soul Shakers also perform music from their two independently released albums Love Is Love (2015) and Ready For You (2019).

Roy Forbes, a veteran performer for more than 50 years, hits the stage on Saturday.
Forbes, who has a street named after him in his hometown of Dawson Creek and a star on VancouverB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s Granville Street, is a multiple Juno Awards nominee and Western Canadian Music Awards winner.
In 2021, he received Canadian Folk Music AwardB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s Producer of the Year nomination for his current album, Edge of Blue.
For more than five decades, Forbes has had a few brushes with fame and endured, but the last few years have been a challenge. Having dealt with poor vision all his life, Forbes was blinded by an accident in 2015. He lost his sight, but not his vision and adapted relatively quickly, returning to touring, performing and recording.
The altered reality saw new songs emerge, with 10 making up the core of his current record, Edge of Blue.
