The BC SPCA wild animal rehab in Metchosin hosts a gaze of rambunctious young raccoons in need of nature's play structures.
Perfectly timed with the return of the rains and those engaging in fall pruning, Wild Animal Rescue Centre (ARC) issued a callout on social media for fresh greenery for its young raccoons.
B次元官网网址淭his lively group uses the greenery to practise climbing and other vital skills as they prepare for release back into the wild. The greenery also provides important cover and hiding spots, helping them feel more secure during their stay with us,B次元官网网址 Wild ARC said in a post.
The centre is looking for greenery donations by the truckload B次元官网网址 specifically seven- to 10-foot branches the raccoons can climb on as well as smaller cedar and fir pieces for the smaller patients.
Donations can be dropped off at 1020 Malloch Rd. from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. any day of the week.
