The NBA now meets Wimbledon at a newly completed sports court at Dunsmuir Middle School in Colwood.
The new court is a partnership between the City of Colwood and the Sooke School District. The deal will see the court reserved for school use on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from September to June and open to the public the rest of the time.
The old asphalt was stripped and replaced with new asphalt and then covered in a special coating.
Outdoor multi-sport courts were a common ask when Colwood asked for public input on its parks and recreation master plan, according to a city statement.
