Countless patients at Victoria General Hospital will benefit from a recent donation from the hospitalB次元官网网址檚 auxiliary.
The Victoria General Hospital Auxiliary recently raised roughly $55,000 to help purchase a new intubation scope for the emergency department.

Members of the emergency department originally approached the auxiliary for help in February, as their previous intubation scope was a bit worse for wear.
The scope was originally purchased 2009 and the hospital could no longer buy replacement parts for it.
Over the course of five months, the auxiliary was able to raise enough money through gift shop sales and PurdyB次元官网网址檚 chocolate sales to purchase the new state-of-the-art scope. Doctors in the emergency department showed members of the auxiliary how to use the equipment during a demonstration last month as well.
The Victoria General Hospital Auxiliary donates more than $200,000 annually to the hospital to purchase medical equipment, plants for the cafeteria and push chairs. Earlier this year, it also helped purchase a new biliblanket for the hospitalB次元官网网址檚 pediatric unit.
