The Kicks hit the stage at the Metchosin Golf Course, 4100 Metchosin Rd., for this monthB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s Metchosin Band Wagon. Restaurant and bar open at 5:30 p.m. with music getting underway at 7. A $5 donation is suggested with all proceeds going to the musicians.

Tuesday, Feb. 21

This monthB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s emergency preparedness information session, at the Metchosin Fire Hall (4440 Happy Valley Rd.), will feature a hands-on first aid workshop dealing with bones, strains, sprains and breaks. The event gets underway at 7 p.m.

B´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·“ If youB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™re an avid knitter, grab your needles and head over for the Knitting Cafe from 7 to 9 p.m. on the first and third Mondays of the month, and from 1 to 3 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesday.

B´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·“ Also on the first and third Mondays of the month is Creative Rug Hooking, led by Sheila Stewart from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Beginners are asked to contact her to discuss supplies, call 250-595-6406 or email blueheronstudio@telus.net. There is no fee, but donations will go to covering the costs of refreshments.
