Goddesses run through Langford
The seventh annual Goddess Run hits the streets in Langford this Saturday. Racers will start and finish at Belmont Secondary school, making their way through one of two race routes in Westhills.
Warm up gets underway at 8:15 a.m. and some local traffic will be impacted in the surrounding community until roughly 10 a.m. For more information go to goddessrun.ca.
Strawberries, tea and more in Colwood
Next Saturday the Church of the Advent is hosting its annual Strawberry Tea and Craft Fair in Colwood.
The event takes place at the church, 510 Mount View Ave, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. with lots of treats to eat and hidden treasures to browse.
Colwood Fire Rescue opens its doors
Also taking place next weekend, Colwood Fire Rescue is hosting its annual open house event on Sunday, June 10.
There will be lots of family-friendly activities and events taking place at the hall, 3215 Metchosin Rd., from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
