Juvenile diabetes fundraiser walk coming to Langford

This Sunday, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) is partnering with Telus to host the annual Walk to Cure Diabetes.

ItB次元官网网址檚 part of a national initiative in which more than 45,000 Canadians are expected to participate, in support of the more than 300,000 type 1 diabetics in our country, with an ever-increasing number of those afflicted being children under the age of 14.

The check-in time for the walk is 8:30 a.m. at Westhills Stadium on Langford Parkway in Langford, with a start time of 10 a.m. Walkers are invited to challenge either the one, three or five-kilometre routes to raise funds for JDRF.

Since its inception in 1994, the Walk to Cure Diabetes has raised more than $124 million for diabetes research. To pre-register for the walk, or for further information on how to become part of this effort, visit JDRF.ca/walk.
