Santa Claus, with the support of the fire department, will be touring View Royal neighbourhoods to spread holiday cheer and collect donations for the Goldstream Food Bank.

View Royal Fire Department's annual Santa Drive takes place on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 9.30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

On board fire trucks, Santa and his merry band of firefighters will be collecting non-perishable food and cash donations for the Goldstream Food Bank.

"The event provides a fun and festive way for residents to contribute to those in need this holiday season," said the fire department in a news release.

"Your generous contributions will support families in the West Shore area, ensuring they have access to essential food items during the holiday season. Join us in making this a merry and bright holiday for all."

Anyone who misses the Santa Drive can instead deliver their food bank donations to the View Royal Fire Department, located at 333 Island Highway, on Dec. 14, where a team of people will be waiting.
