Grab your light sabres and head on down to West Shore Parks and Recreation for a special movie screening Star Wars fans wonB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™t want to miss.
As part of Movies on the Hill, the society will be providing an outdoor screening of the 2017 blockbuster smash, The Last Jedi. The screening will be held on the Gary Oak Hill behind the Greater Victoria Public LibraryB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s Juan de Fuca branch, 1767 Island Hwy., on Thursday Aug. 16.
The showing will get underway once the sky is dark enough, approximately 8:45 p.m., but donB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™t wait. Head on down early to settle in with a pre-show starting at 6:45 p.m. Enjoy the sounds of a live band or participate in some family-friendly activities with the Neighbourhood Nights team or Kydo Klownz and his amazing balloon creations. Movie-goers can even compete for a chance to win VIP section, sponsored by Used.ca.
Admission is by donation with proceeds going to the Neighbourhood Nights program and treats such as popcorn will be available for purchase. This is a family event and no smoking or alcohol is permitted in the area. However, movie-goers are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets.
