Goldstream Park Nature HouseB次元官网网址檚 Nature of Island Artists Art Show 2013 is getting ready to raise some funds for the educational centre.

Nature House hasnB次元官网网址檛 received  government funding since 2002. The event has been running for about 25 years and brings together noted artists from throughout Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands.

Featured artists include Robert Bateman, Mark Hobson, Morgan Warren, Linda Heslop and Jim Jenkins.

B次元官网网址�(The show features) lots of local artists whose work is so beautiful and itB次元官网网址檚 all nature inspired,B次元官网网址� said Nature House manager Tracey Bleackley. B次元官网网址淪o itB次元官网网址檚 a really unique show that way, and unique too because we have our Nature House to display our art work.B次元官网网址�

For the show all of the regular displays in the Nature House are disassembled and the entire space is turned into an art gallery for the run of the show.

B次元官网网址淪o we go from our nutty Nature House to our nature gallery,B次元官网网址� Bleackley said.

Artists are invited to submit a piece, which is then up for sale either outright or by auction with a minimum bid. Part of the proceeds go to the Nature House. Some pieces are donated and all the proceeds go to the education facility.

Tax receipts are available, thanks to a partnership with the Habitat Acquisition Trust, a non-profit land trust.

B次元官网网址淲e do really good work down here, we think that we do, with our environmental education and the programs that we offer,B次元官网网址� Bleackley said.

The show kicks off Sunday, Sept. 28 and runs to Oct. 14 and runs during regular opening hours, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. everyday. There will be special days when artists will come in to give demonstrations in their chosen mediums.
