Is foliage burning a hole in your lawn?

The City of Colwood offers residents a place to drop off their yard waste

The Colwood public works yard is open for branch, leaf and grass drop-offs the first and third Saturday of every month.

The program, aimed at preventing backyard burning, runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., even if the date falls on a statutory holiday. Branches with a maximum diameter of four inches, grass clippings and leaves are accepted, but leaves must be in a separate container. The program is for Colwood residents only and proof of residency may be required.
