Four athletes, three builders and a media award winner will be officially inducted into the Greater Victoria Sports Hall of Fame this fall.
The inductees will be honoured at the 30th induction ceremony and dinner on Oct. 26, the board of directors announced June 4. A visual representation of the group will be added to the Greater Victoria Sports Hall of Fame display at Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre.
In the athlete category, the inductees are swimmer Hilary Caldwell, fastballB次元官网网址檚 Dennis Eckert, rugbyB次元官网网址檚 Ed Fairhurst and footballB次元官网网址檚 Brian Ramsay. The builder category highlights Liz Ashton (multi-sports), Kelly Mann (multi-sports) and Dick Midgley (auto racing). The SID Thomas Media Award will go to long-time radio host Cliff LeQuesne. the voice of sports in the Greater Victoria region for decades. LeQuesne is currently the public address announcer for the Victoria Shamrocks Lacrosse Club, Pacific FC Soccer Club and Victoria Royals Hockey Club.

More than 240 athletes, teams, coaches, officials, builders, and media personalities have been inducted into the Greater Victoria Sports Hall of Fame since 1991.
